On April 21, 2026, our representative (Managing Partner \/ Co-Founder, Kaz Kibushi) had the opportunity to deliver a guest lecture at Tokyo International University as part of their orientation seminar series. Approximately 100 students attended, creating a highly engaging and energetic atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lecture, titled \u201cDifferentiation and Management Accounting in the VUCA and AI Era,\u201d explored the essence of a company not as a physical entity, but as something that exists within people\u2019s minds and perceptions. From this perspective, we discussed the distinction between financial accounting and management accounting, emphasizing the latter\u2019s role in guiding and shaping the future direction of organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also introduced the Japanese library classification system (NDC) as a way to illustrate the depth and breadth of accumulated knowledge in the field of business and management accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In today\u2019s VUCA environment, where AI is increasingly capable of outperforming humans in IQ-driven tasks, we highlighted the growing importance of EQ (emotional intelligence). We encouraged students to develop the ability to move forward with conviction even in uncertain situations. In addition to the traditional PDCA cycle, we also discussed the importance of adopting adaptive frameworks such as the OODA loop to better navigate constant change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, we emphasized the value of combining a university degree with internationally recognized certifications, such as those offered by the IMA, as a powerful way to enhance one\u2019s professional differentiation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We hope this session provided valuable insights for students as they shape their academic and professional journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
